I wrote a press release for
LaterDog.com, for its initial launch
mid-September 2010, in my capacity as a Public Relations

Additionally, I edited all of the Yoga Yoga press releases during my
time there, in addition to drafting several when the PR representative

Below is a sample of a newsletter I designed and edited from given content, using
Constant Contact in my year-long position as Vice-President of Public Relations for the Kappa Delta Alumnae Association of the Texas Hill Country; this is the August 2010 Newsletter. I held this position on a volunteer basis.
At Yoga Yoga I generated content for several weekly and monthly newsletters as needed, in addition to editing them all. All newsletters from June 2012-October 2012 were my sole responsibility. An

Dear Sarah,
I hope this newsletter finds everyone well and enjoying the last few weeks of summer! As summer winds down, the excitement of back-to-school grows and with that lots of shopping. Please join us Aug 7th for our back to school drive and family picnic to help those families in need! There will be hamburgers, veggie burgers and hot dogs to eat, water playscape and playground for the kids and tailgating games, bocce ball and volleyball for the adults. Friends, family, and pets are welcome to join us at Brushy Creek Lake Park from 10-2!!! If you did not receive the Evite for this event please email Meghan at m_e_malone@yahoo.com. Don't forget this month is the LAST month for our "early bird" special of $45! After September 1st dues will go up to $50. The deadline was extended to allow everyone a full month to send in dues after receiving the July newsletter. If you do not pay dues by September 1st you will continue to receive the monthly electronic newsletter but you will no longer receive the evites. Make sure to join now and PLEDGE KD AGAIN!!!!!!!

August Happenings!

Have you ever been interested in helping out with recruitment or getting more involved with our local chapter Sigma Epsilon? If so, please join us for one or all of the activities we have coming up!!
Come see the infamous KD pyramid, chants and help ladies improve their conversation skills to help them recruit the best potential new members! Not only will this help the ladies for recruitment, but it will build great life skills these ladies can use for interviews in the future. This activity will be from 10:30-12:00 on Aug 14th. Afterward we can go to lunch or tour the campus/capital if we choose!
Our "Forever 21"event will be Sigma Epsilon's "Friends and Family" night at the house from 7-8. Come support the chapter and watch their dress rehearsal then join us at a local wine bar afterwards.

Last but not least, if you did not receive the July newsletter in the mail, please accept our greatest apologies! There was a miscommunication on the number of Kappa Deltas in the Austin area and we were not aware of this until after the newsletters were printed. Over 350 newsletters were sent to alumnae who were initiated prior to 2000. For those of you who did not receive it, please see the newsletter attached for your viewing pleasure!
